Grandview Heights Bobcats had trouble keeping up with Fairbanks in a 12-2 loss on Tuesday.

In the first inning, Grandview Heights Bobcats got their offense started. Joey Bertani homered on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs. Fairbanks pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Wilhelm singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Pack singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, Cushman singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run for Fairbanks.

Fairbanks scored five runs in the third inning. Wilhelm, Pack, and Jones all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. Wilhelm took the win for Fairbanks. He allowed three hits and two runs over five innings, striking out four.

Gavin Van Horn took the loss for Grandview Heights Bobcats. He lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and eight runs while striking out three.
Grandview Heights Bobcats socked one home run on the day. Bertani went for the long ball in the first inning.

Bertani went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Grandview Heights Bobcats in hits.

Fairbanks collected nine hits. Wilhelm, Pack, and Cushman all collected multiple hits for Fairbanks. Wilhelm led Fairbanks with three hits in four at bats. Fairbanks didn’t commit a single error in the field. Pastirzyk had four chances in the field, the most on the team.
